DIRECTIONS TO PEOPLE'S COMMUNITY
HEALTH CENTER
Family
& Children's Medical Center
(Towson or Govans)
BY CAR:
Take York Road south. York Road becomes
Greenmount Avenue at 39th Street. Stay on
Greenmount, and when you get to 31st Street,
begin to look for parking. We are on the
right side (west side) of Greenmount between
31st Street and Vineyard Lane.
BY BUS:
The #8 heading downtown will drop you off
at 30th and Greenmount, and you can walk
1/2 block south to our door.
(Harwood or Downtown)
BY CAR:
Take Greenmount Avenue north. When you see
the tall church steeple at Old York Road
and Greenmount, look for a place to park.
We are directly across the street from St.
John's Episcopal church. We will be on your
left (the west side of Greenmount). You
can take Charles Street or Calvert Street
north if you wish, but head east to Greenmount
at 28th Street.
BY BUS:
The #8 Towson will deliver you to a bus
stop in front of a shop that is 1/2 block
north of us. Cross Greenmount Avenue and
walk south 1/2 block to our door.
(East side of Baltimore)
BY CAR:
Take 33rd Street and travel west. Pass Greenmount
Avenue because you can't make a left turn
there. The next light is an intersection
where you will see the library on one corner,
a Papa John's on another corner. This is
Barclay Street. Turn left here and proceed
to 31st Street. Make a left onto 31st Street,
and proceed to Greenmount Avenue. Turn right
onto Greenmount Avenue and begin to look
for parking. We will be on your right (west
side of street).
BY BUS:
The #22 and the #3 stop on 33rd Street at
Greenmount. Get off there. Then you can
either walk three blocks south to our building,
or you can walk up to Greenmount and catch
the #8 going downtown and ride the three
blocks to our building.
(West side of Baltimore)
BY CAR:
You can travel on 33rd Street or University
Parkway heading east. From either road,
turn right onto Barclay Street and head
north to 31st Street. Make a left onto 31st
Street and proceed to Greenmount Avenue.
Turn right onto Greenmount Avenue and begin
to look for a place to park. You can travel
east on 28th Street, 25th Street and North
Avenue. Whichever you take, turn left onto
Greenmount and head north until you see
the steeple at Old York Road and Greenmount
Avenue. Begin to look for a parking place
there. We are across Greenmount Avenue (on
the west side of the street), directly opposite
the church steeple.
BY BUS:
The #3 Baynesville and #22 Highlandtown
stop on 33rd Street at the Gas station at
Greenmount Avenue. You can get off there
and walk across Greenmount Avenue and then
walk south on Greenmount three blocks to
our building. You can also cross Greenmount
Avenue and cross 33rd Street and catch the
#8 going downtown. Ride the #8 for three
blocks and get off at 31st Street.
The #13
travels up North Avenue to Greenmount. Get
off at North and Greenmount Avenues and
transfer to the #8 Towson. Take the #8 to
the corner of Old York Road and Greenmount
Avenue.
Cross Greenmount Avenue and
walk south 1/2 block to our building.
- St. John's Church
across the street has a parking lot; we
rent places on the lot for our patients
and visitors. Our receptionist will gove
you a window tag.
- There is metered-parking
on Greenmount Avenue. Meters take quarters,
dimes and nickels. One hour is 30 cents.
- There is free street
parking on Vineyard Lane which is right
next to our building. Vineyard Lane ends
at Greenmount Avenue, so you will only
see the street sign on the west side of
Greenmount.
BY CAR:
From I-83, take Northern Parkway East exit.
Travel to York Road. Turn right. Travel
about one mile to Glenwood Avenue ("T" intersection
- only a left turn). Turn left and park
in the lot immediately to the right. Parking
lot is behind the building at 5225 York
Road. The #8 bus stops at the front door
of this health center.
BY CAR:
Take 695 to the exit marked Ritchie Highway,
Brooklyn (Exit 12 North). Follow Ritchie
Highway north until you get to 10th or 11th
Street. Make a left onto 10th or 11th and
pull into the parking lot at either end
of the commercial strip center. The #14
bus stops directly in front of the building.
